Is it a local condition, or is it something universal? Do galaxies suffer from it? Do deities - such as they may be - do everything to avoid it? Does the sun burn just out of boredom? Is birth nothing more than life energies being bored? Is evolution just, 'something to do'?
I think there is a remedy for it, but it entails quite a paradigm shift. It requires a person to regard their values about anything as merely self-serving attributes; that's a tall task to ponder let alone to accept. Then, if one even gets that far, in that void there may be a spark and one begins to do something, something of value that is not affected by any other values or comparisons. Maybe, that's the beginning of the true individual: I need nothing, I am everything I need now and forever.
Is that a kind of psycho-existential austerity, or the entrance to what has eluded you? I guess I'm still trying to figure that out.
